Introduction The construction industry has been struggling with quality problems for quite some time now and therefore the loss to our economy is staggering. Quality in the construction industry can therefore be defined as pertinence to set measures or greatness. Aim of this research is to investigate impact of quality control management on materials in Nigeria building construction industry and building projects. It also examines the quality control on materials used in construction projects. evaluate the impact of quality control management on materials in construction projects, evaluate the deterring the applies of quality control management on materials in Nigeria building construction, and to evaluate the approaches for actual management of quality control on materials in building construction industry. Methods/Methodology A survey method was adopted. The population of the study includes of the construction professionals in medium -scale construction companies in Lagos State. 80 designed questionnaires were distributed and seventy (70) were retrieved from the respondents and used to engender data for this study, stratified data analysis were conducted using descriptive statistics such as frequencies, percentages and arithmetic mean to summarize survey responses. Results and Discussion The quality control practices on materials in Nigeria building construction industry are liable on the size and competence of the construction firms, larger firms gadget severe quality control measures while the small-scale contactors however often bypass some of the Practices due to cost or lack of awareness. Conclusions The study concluded that training and capacity building, enforcement of standards, enhanced collaboration, use of technology and strengthened local material production.
